If you're planning a visit to the LaHave Bakery why not see the other attractions the area has to offer? We're part of a proud artistic community within the historic South Shore region of Lunenburg County.
The bakery building houses a craft co-op each Summer, where some of the finest craftspeople in the area sell samples of their work, from beautiful hand-made quilts to hand-made leather footwear and wooden carvings. An exhibition space is on the second floor of the bakery and local artists frequently hold art exhibits during the Summer months. There are open-mike nights and yoga classes held there on occasional evenings (keep an eye out for notices on our Facebook page).
You can buy local fresh produce, frozen and preserved goods at the LaHave Bakery too. We want you to experience all the region has on offer - local foods and crafts are just a small part of what's available.
Also housed in the bakery building is Homegrown Skateboards where Jesse Watson houses his in-door skate bowl, skateboard workshop and retail shop. There's a large assortment of the highest quality hand-printed skateboard decks and clothing to choose from.
Along the road from the bakery lies Westcote Bell Pottery. You can see examples of their fine pottery in the bakery - they're well worth a visit. They also have an art exhibition space and offer pottery classes in the shoulder seasons.
Five minutes drive down the coast you'll find the West Dublin Market, held in the West Dublin Hall every Saturday from Spring to Autumn. Local farmers and craftspeople offer a large variety of products and fair trade coffee is hot and fresh throughout the day.
We have two helpful maps available to assist you in finding all the wonderful things to do and see on the South Shore of Lunenburg County. The Coastal Attractions map can be download as a large pdf (approximately international A2 size) here.
